Solenoids :(

Well I finally got my compressor to kick on today.Now I cant seem to get my solenoids to open.I applied battery voltage tothe pos side and grounded and it did not click.Any suggestions?

If its a 3 prong solenoid use the top 2 posts for your 12v and GND dont use the bottom post that is labeled on the solenoid for GND that is only used when there is a 110V power source.
