CPP website. Some good prices!

I just checked out CPP website. http://www.cpptalk.com/summer.sale.06.html They look like they have some really good prices. I have a 70 c10 swb. I think i have decided to not go with the ride techs complete rear end for our trucks mainly cause its $1700. Can i make a similiar setup without spending all the money? Here were the products that i was looking at and would like your opinion.

1963-72 Chevy Truck - Drop Center Crossmember
1963-72 Chevy Truck - Tubular Rear Trailing Arms
1963-72 Chevy Truck - Deluxe Trac Bar Kits
1963-72 Chevy Truck - Rear Shock Relocator Kit
1963-72 Chevy Truck - Rear C-Notch (maybe on the c-notch cause i would like it a little lower)

What do you all think of these parts and prices? I was thinking about maybe going this route and then buying the airbags and leveling system from air ride. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Josh

Re: CPP website. Some good prices!

josh good site. i spent a couple hours on it and pricing seems good but kit prices are not very specific. lack a lot detail as far as parts included or needed. i have e-mailed them about more specifics and will pass on responses. has anybody delt with them? it would be nice for some feedback as far as quality, pricing, shipping, and customer service. hope some members jump on this.

I agree about the lack of specifics. I would think with the amount of people with 67-72 trucks they should have a kit designed already. Please relay on the info. Are you trying to bag your truck also?

Try the Search function or the Review board. Lots of people have dealt with CPP over the years... some like them, some don't.

Re: CPP website. Some good prices!

I called them on the "Chevy full sized" disc kit. They said ti was for an Impala, but they matched the price on the kit for my '69, so I ordered it. The price is by far the best I've found, I hope the kit is as good as they say it is.

good prices, but TERRIBLE customer survice... if you dont wait on hold for more then 30 min.. feel blessed, last order i ordered from them they over charged my card by over 200$ and i received the parts in 4 deliveries spanned across 1 month...... i spent 1700$$ on that occassion, and they still didnt care if i bought from them again...

Re: CPP website. Some good prices!

i have e-mailed them my specs 4/6 static drop, disc, power brakes. after 2 days they reply use the grand slam kit $1399 with drop spindle. the problems i see are the kit does not show track bar, shock relocators, plus i think they only have a 5 inch rear spring, so it would also need lowering blocks. what else is missing i dont know. so great prices, scary customer service according to several members, quality parts and good service according to others. i think i will keep looking. i have about a week before i need to order and get this going. any advice?

Re: CPP website. Some good prices!

on the rear i ordered ECE rear lowering kit... got here in 3 days no problems with them.... have you checked them out?
CPP is kinda my last resort on parts... because the quality is good (if/when you get it) but hope there is not a problem , because YOU"LL be the one that bits the bullet, NOT them...

ECE gets a thumbs' up from me as well. First class service all around. Kind of the antithesis of CPP.

Re: CPP website. Some good prices!

well i drive up to cpp to save on shipping costs , some of the stuff going on up there is well due to one or 2 knuckleheads , that said i ve had good luck with them for the most part and when i call i do it right when they open and have not had to wait on hold at all and i did buy the tubular trailing arms and im very happy with them . tom
