Where did you guys find them ... I need a few for a temporary fix ... gotta move a bagged truck that isn't plumbed or wired.

I bought mine at the local Car Quest. The farm supply store has them too.

DO NOT DRIVE ON THIS. YOU COULD KILL YOURSELF OR A BUS FULL OF ORPHANS

I walked into Wal-mart's tire dept. and said I needed two used valve stems. The guy reached in the box and handed me two brand new ones. I said thanks and walked out.

Came home and tried to cut as much of the rubber off the bottom as possible. Then I removed the valve cores and burned off the remaining rubber with a torch. Let them cool and scuffed them with a bit of sandpaper.

What I was left with was just about a perfect fit for 3/8" air line. I heated the valve stem (core removed still) and inserted it in the line and squeezed the air line onto the hot valve stem. Reinstalled the valve core and tried them out. They seemed to hold air pretty well then, and this was back at the beginning of June. My airbags are still holding up my empty frame today. Haven't added a single bit of air since June, and I can't tell any difference.

I'm not sure how well it would work with the higher pressures that are needed to raise a *more* complete truck, but it was free and it's pretty hard to beat that price.

*edit* went down to the garage to get a picture of what I ended up with.

^^^ this might be OK for getting your truck from one end of the shop to the other , but there is no way I would drive on that.

Oreilly Auto Parts has the male threaded ones for around $2...

Oh yeah, sorry. Never meant for it to sound like I endorsed driving on them. As far as I can remember Shane's truck isn't driveable just yet, so I didn't think to mention that. That is just my rigged way of being able to get my frame up out of my basement level garage, aired out there's no chance of it making it up the hill. I would never drive on that either.

found them at O'Reilly's here locally. They are called Tank Valves with 1/8" NPT threads. $1.99 each ... link below.
