Re: hood scoop on a 65

well i wouldn't think a scoop would look good on that body style but a cowl induction hood might look good if you could find one but anyways here is a good site that might have something you would like www.up22.com

Don't buy anything from UP22. Check the better business bureau. They have a complaint list as long as your arm. Their prices are cheap, but their products are horrible.

Re: hood scoop on a 65

Just a hood scoop on an otherwise stock truck can look bad IMO.
It if compliments other mods they can look great.

Things like lower stance, pro street chassis, etc

Nice Cowl Hoods are a great mod to almost any RWD car or truck out there today

Re: hood scoop on a 65

Almost anything short of a REAL big blower will fit under the hood of a 60-66. I fit a tunnel ram, carbs, two inch carb spacers, and 4" air cleaners inder the stock hood on my 66. I wanted it to stick out and finally just gave up and went back to a single quad (made more power with the single). A friend of mine has a big blower with dual quads and spacers on a big block in his 65 and the air scoop only stuck out 1/2".

What power adder are you using that gives that much height??
