Powder coat frame or por 15 it?

We've been using a Latex frame black that I get from the guys I work for part time that runs a small truck fleet............If it holds up on Peterbilts running in the salt/road dirt/mud it definitely works for us.

I have done a few frames now, everyting except powder. The lastest was Zero rust $150.00 to blaast the frame myself and 1 gallon at 85.00 . Out of the epoxy, Tremclad, I would say it was the easiest to work with. Great to spray, dries quick, useds multiple coats, and a flat to semi gloss. I had sandblasted the frame, the used Zero Rust direct to metal. The nice thing about it is when I reassembled the NEXT DAY, the few scratches that did occur from the tranny crossmember or the front crossmember DID NOT go to the bare metal. It has been a week since I sprayed, and it is gettin tougher as time goes on.

This is on my work truck, so time will tell how long it will last.

Another thing to remember, I am doing custom exhaust, put the headers on withn the dead soft aluminium gaskets, and quess what happens? The headers hit the frame on both sides. With a painted frame, no big deal, BUT with a coated frame i would of got different headers instead of trimming the frame rails.

Coating is very nice, just preassemble EVERYTHING, and dont use it as a daily driver.
