Re: power booster

I really don't know. It was painted 2 owners ago, and the one I bought it from did'nt know either. If I ever repaint it I'll go with the same if I can figure the color out.

Re: power booster

You'll need to fabricate the mounting bracket and you might need to use part of the old push rod, but other than that, it should work fine. I bought the whole setup already engineered for my '66 from Chevy Duty $375.00 - came with everything including a zinc plated mounting bracket.

I looked at the ones from Chevy Duty and was going to buy one, then I came across a 83 4x4 that I'm going to use the newer front axle and the 700r4 in my 61. So I have that booster already thats why I was asking. I can deal with a little fab up. Thanks Hilandr451. Jeremy

Re: power booster

I didn't have the bracket for my booster either, but I just mounted it directly to the firewall on my '64. The firewall was flat, so i figured it would be alright. Just had to add some threaded rod and a clevis to the cab side to attach to pedal. works like a charm.

I'll will probably try what you did. Maybe I will not have to fab up a mount, if I'm lucky! Thanks

Re: power booster

i just put a 1973 booster on my 64 c10 yesterday.the booster bolted right to the old master cylinder holes.the push rod was too short but the rod end unscrewed so i used a barrel nut and a piece of allthread to extend it.i had to drill the hole at the pedal from 1/2 to 9/16.

Did you do a conversion to 4x4 or was it that way ? if converted how hard was it to do?

Re: power booster

It is a factory 4x4. Just going to put an open knuckle axle with disc brakes, power steering, etc.
