Re: Bilstein shocks

I don't know what you're thinking about putting them on, but I've been wondering the same thing. Bilsteins are great shocks, and are considered better than KYB's by anyone who'se ever tried both brands on the same vehicle.

I haven't seen Bilsteins offered for 67-72 trucks, though. KYB's are considered an upgrade from standard shocks, maybe Bilstein thinks there isn't a market for them on these trucks. Would a $400 set of gas shocks would be overkill for a forty year old truck suspension?

I'm writing this in reference to a fairly stock suspension, but I've seen some higher end shocks offered by Bilstein for extreme lifts and offroading on their website.

Re: Bilstein shocks

I am considering a set on my 2004.5 Chev 2500HD Duramax. It rides like a lumber wagon!
