Draglink/front end components

Is it necessary to replace the draglink and tie rod components on your front end of your 4x4 chevy truck 67-72. I dont know if its necessary to replace mine or not on my 72 Blazer. Every time i drive it, it moves to the sides. The steering wheel has plenty of play in it, but i dont know if thats what it is. Or maybe it could be the power steering gear box, because it also has play in it when i move the steering wheel and plus it leaks too. Have any of you replaced your front end or your steering gear box.

Luis.

Re: Draglink/front end components

if they are worn out, yes. Need to check the play in all the wear parts. You can take some of the free play out of your steering box but generally if it needs that it is worn out.
