what size of gauges

I'm planning on switching to aftermarket gauges (Autometer ultra lite) and was wanting to know what size are people using with the stock gauge housing. 2 1/16 or 2 5/8"

Then what size for the tack and speedo; 3 1/2"?

The 2 5/8" ones will stick out of the stock housing somewhat - the 2 1/16" will recess back flush, which is what I have and prefer. Here's a pic where I was testing the fit -

Brett,
That does look cool. What holds the gauges to the bezel and are they just wired to the light switch to light up?

Ackattack - The tach is the 5". I probably won't leave it there, but I will have a 5" speedo that will. The middle hole is the 3 1/2" size. Its like autometer guages are made for the openings or something....

70c10 - They have some fab mounting brackets - possibly a little clear silicone on the back to help out. Yes they will be wired to the light switch to light up just like factory, dimming and all. Having them in a decent guage housing would probably help the looks too!
