Headliner in a 65

Texas heat is baking the inside of the cab, is there a way to fab a headliner or any ideas.

Heres one I had put in a 70 chev. The upholstery shop glues the material in. I imagine it would help some with the heat. The truck has A/C so I dont know how much it helped.

cut a peice of luan underlayment = like 1/8" paneling from lumberyard. cover it with headliner foam = 1/8" foam available at upholstery shops or joan fabric stores. may want 2 layers for more insulation factor. pre fit & pre drill screw holes for mounting. cover with fabric of choice. can use 3-m 77 spray can adhesive to attach foam & fabric. if sand edges of luan can get away with no sewing or moulding on edges. also works for making your own door & kick panels. good luck jw
