ECE trailing arms
Was wondering if anyone has these and what your experiences are with them?

Re: ECE trailing arms
I saw the new ones also. They sure look nice but I am using originals. I have a very nice pair of 3/4T trailing arms(stonger than 1/2T).

Re: ECE trailing arms
3/4 ton trailing arms are not the same as 1/2 ton trailing arms?

Re: ECE trailing arms
They're the same w/the exception of re-inforcement plates attached to the top/bottom of the arms to help limit flex & keep the seams from splitting under the stress of a heavier load.

Re: ECE trailing arms
Mine on my truck are pretty hammered and since I am doing a restore I want to replace them, I know ECE makes quality products, and for the price I guess I can't complain too much.

Re: ECE trailing arms
Looking at the picture, isn't it basically square tubing with a bend on the axle end and a piece of tubing for the bushing to press into at the front? This could not be hard to build for dirt cheap. Humm.....

Re: ECE trailing arms
as long as you sleeve the holes the u bolts go through and cap the ends, yea it should be fairly easy to fab up a set. i'm not sure i would cut and weld the bend into the arms though, unless i plated both sides for extra strength. all in all though i think it would be worth the time to make up a few sets.
