Question Help identifying disk brakes

The PO had put disks up front on my 70 2500 GMC. Anyone have an idea of what these might have come off of? Thanks.

Re: Help identifying disk breaks

I don't know if there is a diference between 71/72 brakes and 73-87 brakes but I would guess not. I have 82 3/4T Suburban front brakes on my 67 Chev 3/4T.

Those look an awful lot like those on mine.

What do need to know or replace? Head to the auto parts store and ask the application of the parts you need. They should be able to tell you the years that they fit.

Can I Just add an aftermarket prop valve? The truck seems to stop fine and it already has the break booster.

Re: Help identifying disk brakes

you will need the master cylinder from a disc brake truck also

the rear tub on the master is much larger for the disk brakes
