Chrome Moly

Short and simply question for the welders in the house. I know that you have to use AC TIG to weld aluminum, but what do you have to use to weld chrome moly? I am asking because I am about to sell my kidneys and lungs to get a welder. Thanks for the help guys.

Re: Chrome Moly

Chromoly is welded on DC just as mild steel, the only difference is the filler rod.

Re: Chrome Moly

Thanks a ton PorterBuilt, I was thinking that might be the case but wasn't 100% shure. I really have no clue how much a set of kidneys and lungs go for, but I think I can live with just one of each...I hope...
