Re: Wear your seatbelt
I nearly lost my wife 22 months ago. She was wearing her seatbelt, if she wasn't I dought she would be hear today. She suffered head injurries, was in a coma for 4 days a week in ICU and another month in a rehab hospital, and the next yr going to out patient therapies for numerous issues. I don't want to think about what would have happened if she didn't have her seabelt on. I now I always put mine on now !!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Wear your seatbelt
I don't mind wearing a seat belt and usually wear it. What I hate is having that shotgun/airbag aimed at my chest all of the time.

Re: Wear your seatbelt
Dean... good god man... you guys told me what happened, but i never saw the pics. That's unreal.
Here's my take on it. I've been in 3 accidents worthey of mentioning... without my seat belt, i never woulda made it out of the first one. The other two I probably woulda...but it woulda been a moot point becouse i would have already been dead. Here's a link to an accident my kid sister was in a few years ago... pretty nasty. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ad.php?t=98355 Once she was pulled from the car, she walked away with some assistance. Seat belts save lives. Now, I kinda agree with the complaint... my life, my choice... however, the best reason I have heard as to why it is a law... and I mean best as viewed from the state house... if every one lives, then whom ever is at fault will be alive to pay for the damages. Remember, it's money, that makes the world go 'round |
