Another frame swap
My 56 Chevy on an 80 chevy short wheel base
4x4 frame Welded in 2x6 rectangular tubiing to fill in the drop in frame should have shortened it about an inch for better cab to bed fit 2 1/2 icnh lift kit 10 inch wheels will try to get some chasis pix posted soon Gene |

Looks good. I'm in the process of doing the same thing with my 57 3200. I have a 82 suburban 3/4 ton that gave up the chassis. I'll be shortening the frame this weekend 6 inches and then start the body mounting.
Do you have any pictures of your progress? I think I'll do the same with the 2X6 box along the frame rail to fill in the gap. Scott |

when you are shortening the frame like that, how are you putting it back together? just weld it back up and weld plates on each side?
