f/s 78 1ton 4x4 3+3 in Indiana
The body is junk (you can throw a cat through it)but drivetrain is all intact. This is a single wheel not a dually. I bought this from the original owner. It has been sitting in the pasture for ten years but all of the tires were up but one. They parked it because the body was falling off of it (go figure). Obviously, it has a Dana 60 front with 4:11's with rear 14 bolt with positrac. It has a 350 (believe it or not it isn't stuck)4 speed with a 205 transfer case. There are quite a few options on the truck including air, tilt wheel, factory tach and rear slider. I would like 1500 out of the truck. It is already on my trailer ready for delivery. lol I bought this as package deal with a 69 3/4 4x4 Chevy. I can add picture if needed.
Thanks Troy

Dumb question, but what exactly does "3+3" mean? Does that mean it's a crew cab?

Thanks

I can do it. I just have way too many irons in the fire to do it right now. I will do what I can to post them before Monday.

Re: f/s 78 1ton 4x4 3+3 in Indiana
I have a 20 foot dovetail trailer and it filled it up. The tach set up is in good condition. I can hook up and see if it works. The rear bumper is junk. It's a shame because it's chrome. As far as the tranny and transfer case 300 obo takes them.

Re: f/s 78 1ton 4x4 3+3 in Indiana
Couple of things I'm interested in from that truck, and would love better pics of:
1) Dash bezel 2) Brushed Aluminum strip on the dash pad 3) Pull strap covers on both front doors 4) Speedo cable I'd love the steering column (standard tilts are pretty uncommon around here) and some of the trim from the body, but shipping bigger / longer stuff like that up here would be simply killer...

Re: f/s 78 1ton 4x4 3+3 in Indiana
Here are some more pictures. As far as the interior goes it probably won't be worth messing with. The driver side front window has been broken for some time. Oddly enough, the interior isn't bad for it being open.

Let me know what you want for the tach cluster, and if dash pad is in good condition that as well.
Thanks.

Re: f/s 78 1ton 4x4 3+3 in Indiana
I see at least one pull-strap cover there that I'd love to have, and that dash bezel still looks pretty good to me as well! Much better than the bare, exposed guage pod I have now...
I see that your dash pad strip is lying on the floor similar to mine (gotta hate those stupid plastic studs & speed nuts...), and I just ordered a brand new speedo cable. If you are up for selling me those two peices, just get me a shipped price to Alberta Canada, postal code T8E 2C8 and shoot me a PM BTW, if it isn't too much trouble, one more pic of the whole dash bezel would be nice, thanks!

Re: f/s 78 1ton 4x4 3+3 in Indiana
You are straight East of me on the other side of the state. I live just South of Interstate 74 4 miles from the Illinois line. I want to get 1500 out of the whole truck. If not sold by the middle of the month I will start parting out. I would like to keep the motor if I part it out since it should be 4 bolt with a steel crank. I bought this off of the original owner and has I believe 106,000 on it. Other people on the board are interested in parts and I am definitely going to keep them in mind. I just don't have much free time. I work on the railroad full time and turn wrenches full time also.

Re: f/s 78 1ton 4x4 3+3 in Indiana
Will you include the flywheel, clutch, pedal and linkage for this price? My step brother is interested in this and I need the pedal and linkage for my own project.
