Why's that indicator light blinking?

This is a cool site! I've learned alot reading through it. Just got a '72 Blazer last week & trying to clean up some wiring issues When I turn on the right blinker, the red indicator light in the speedometer blinks & not the arrow. Is this red supposed to be the high beam indicator???

Yes, the red dot is the high beam indicator. Is it possible that the bulb poped out of the cluster?

Welcome to the board from South Mississippi (Hattiesburg area)! You may need to pull your cluster and clean all the bulb contacts with alcohol.

Re: Why's that indicator light blinking?

I will try cleaning the cluster. I have to pull it anyway to check some of the hookups for the factory gauges. There is also some other major problems like the headlights & brakes only work with the key on. Trying to figure out what wire feeds this section???? Any ideas?????????????????
