I need Help with a quick question.

Just a quick simple question. I was wondering what happens when you over-load one of our trucks? I have a SWB 1/2 ton and I was going to get 90 patio pavers that weigh 36 pounds each. Thats 3240 pounds! What could that do to damage my truck? Thank you guys.

just drive slow and make sure you air up the tires first

keep a eye on the springs so you don't bust them

might want to make a couple trips

Well they come on a pallet so they would just load it with a fork lift.

You could bend an axle(s) and cause related damage, depending on how overloaded the truck gets. If you go this route (back of the truck), drive very carefully and give yourself plenty of room for stopping or panic braking should something happen in front of you.

I suggest trailering them home if your truck has a receiver hitch and you have access to a trailer.

I used to have a 1/2 ton for work. If you have them load the pallet as far forward as possible then the front springs will share the load and you may be OK.I used to do it. Go slow,watch for pot holes,don't follow too close.\

ive done it and the truck can handle it just go easy avoid potholes and hopefully its not that far

Thanks guys. I got them to break the pallet down into two loads. Even with half the amount in there is really brought the rear down. I appreciate the quick replys.
