I am pretty sure it is too tall. The humps in the floorboards of teh pickups prohibit putting in a lot of seats, at least without a lot of fabrication.

Re: will this seat fit my 79?
width wise they will fit perfect, as for the height....i am unsure how you would go about it. I talked to an interior guy that has done a few of our high end cars, and he said he would cut the seat mouting tabs off and redo them. Anyhow that is my plans for my truck, i live the intergrated seatbelts

Look hard at the seat brackets. It will take some very creative fab work to get them to work in our cabs.

You have to look at it this way......any seat other than stock is going to require modification. Of any seat, I would put the seat in question in your truck.

Re: will this seat fit my 79?
Is there a swap that has the integrated seat belts that is more straight forward than others? I hear about guys with 60-66 C10s more or less just sitting them in and drilling two holes in the floorboard. I recently picked up a '73 and this is something I want to try.

79underconstruction
Did you get the seat? If so can you post how you got it to fit? K Dubb Can you post pics? Was this a second row seat or the third row seat? Anyone else have any insight into this? I'm looking to take this one on soon. |
