New Web Site

I've finally gotten my web site to the point that I'm willing to put out the link. I have a lot more material I could scan and add to the site, but I'm out of room at my ISP.

It's mostly tailored to GMC special edition trucks, but has some info on all of my trucks.

Take a look:

Ditto on all the comments. I especially liked all the pics on the specialty trucks. I knew about the Beau James and the Gentelmen Jim trucks, but I have never seen a Indy, Street Couple or the Sport trucks. Until now, I never knew those models existed.
But the most logical explanation is that I have seen these trucks but just never noticed they were factory trucks.
Interesting.

Very nice site! I like all of your projects!

You need more pics and info on the diesel truck, though!

Thanks for all the nice comments!

I've had my 84 for seven years, up until this year, I never really gave any of the special edition trucks a second thought (or really knew most of them existed!) Once I started collecting information on these trucks, I really started to realize that there were some special ones out there. I first went and looked at my Gentleman Jim in April. Since then, I've seen more in junkyards than anywhere else and I realized they are there because they were used like pickups, and therefore used up and thrown away. Anyhow, I kinda think in 5 years or so, as the 67-72 trucks become more scarce and more expensive, the 73-87 trucks will really get more popular. This will also happen as those of us who had them as our first cars have more money and space to restore a truck get back into them.

Anyhow, there are very good sites out there for information on these trucks in general, but I saw a gap in the information for the special edition trucks. I'm hoping I can do a decent job in providing information for everyone to use so they too can learn more about the trucks we all like to mess with.

My number one goal is to not put out any wrong information, I would rather not say anything than put out bad info as truth.

Joe,

I added a link to your site on my 73-87 Info page. Real good stuff. Keep up the good work.
