What kind of tonneau cover do you have?

I am shopping for a tonneau cover for my 86 project. I just got a soft tekstyle cover for my 84, and I like it, but I don't think its what I want for my 86. Tell us all what you have and whether or not you'd buy that particular one again.

By the way, who makes this one?

I have Roll N Lock ? tonneau cover. It looks almost like a black toolbox sticking up about an inch in the front of my bed. The bed cover is made of aluminum and it rolls into the box and rolls out and locks in several positions. Very nice for what I need, but I think they are about $1000 new (mine was on my pickup when i bought it). Not sure if it is the look your going for though, but i really like mine.

I had a tonneau cover custom made for my truck. Eventually I sold because I did not like the way it was tearing up my bed rails. I prefer the flush mount style anyway.

Checkmate makes an inexpensive fiberglass mounted one. I was disappointed on the quality when I bought one for my dad Dodge Ram. Nice but not for my truck. Be prepared to pay big bucks for nice Gaylord or Snug Top. I've seen home made ones too. I had on my Dakota used some 3/8 ply wood with artificial turf as a cover.
Here is the ultimate cover. Cost a little over $1k. I plan on buying the lifting mechanism and custom build the cover myself.

I would love to have the ultimate cover. That would come in real handy.

Inexpensive and decent and its functional and paintable. More than likely that is what is on that truck and what I have.

Not the best quality but its the only flush mount on the market for ours that is fiberglass.

I have the same one Dave does on my truck, Checkmate FX. I've never painted it yet. I am not real impressed with the quality. As a matter of fact, it's coming off when I do finally get my truck painted. I'm not a big fan of bed covers anyway. It's an OK cover I guess, but it looks too cheap to me. I always thought I wanted a bed cover, but after getting one, I don't like it on my truck.
