GMC w/leaf springs
I was just wondering if there is a vendor who sells a lowering kit for the GMC. A neighbor just inherited a '71 and wants to do something along the lines of a 3/5 but doesn't want to c notch it. Should we swap to the coil spring setup for ease of dropping or is there a shackle/spring kit for the rear. Thanks guys.

Re: GMC w/leaf springs
i dont really know about the leafs. but the coils you can lower by putting a block between the axel and the trailing arm, which essentailly raises the axel further into the truck, if you follow me.
im sure if you look at the leafs, you may be able to modify, and put the axel above the spring, and block it higher into the truck as well. if you have some fabrication skills, this could save you lots of money, but cost you a bit of time. ..again, im not an expert in leaf spring setups, but its just an idea, I'd have to look at one more close up...
