I will try and do a few more of these before it starts getting cold, I do not like to try and paint them once it gets cold. The one with the custom bowtie is something I am going to try and make some more of. I made about 5 of these emblems and then I made two pretty girls so that kinda took up alot of my time. Three kids all under the age of 5 will try your nerves.
But it is all worth it.  PT

Ok...I am going to show my lack of knowledge.
My 70cst has the none cup holder console. Which console was for which years? Or was the difference in the vehicle such as blazer verses a truck?

Paint ??? It all depends on the color SEM, Dupli color, Dupont. It really just depends on what someone wants and for the most part if I am not doing one in black I would rather the person pic the color so they know what they are getting because they picked it out.

Sameyrasmea72 every console has that it is a casting ring where these were poured from fiberglass. Some show up worse than others. If you restore it correctly it may not show but I have restored around 75 or so of these and I have seen the best restoration not hide it. 67chevy1series those are all mine.

I have saved these consoles for years. I agree the casting circle shows up a lot and there is not much you can do about it. I must be in the minority about refinishing them. I don't like the finish and shine that is left when they are painted. To me, it does not look like the way they were done from the factory. Whenever I have refinished one, I have used the vinyl dye. It does not leave a shine on them. This is my stash.

TubbedII the if you are referring to the bowtie emblem that is something that I tried making and only did a few. It was a pain to try and do them so I just did about two or three. Davestrucks has one of the only consoles that I sold with one on it. Here are a few more pics of some other consoles I restored.

Hey guys been lurking around for a while but I thought it was time to break my silence, nice looking consoles, I went to a local junk yard and lucked up on a set of red buckets, door panels and headliner out of a 70 cst one ton that was a walk through camper. But no console, what would a red console with the cupholders run.
