Re: buick engine?
I had a friend back about 10-12 years ago who put a Buick 455 in a '63. From what I remember the mods were minimal. I'm not sure, but do Buick had the same motor mounts as Chevy?

Re: buick engine?
I'm not sure about the motor mounts, but keep in mind that Chevy's have different bolt patterns on the transmissions compared to Buick, Old, Pontiac Motors. Other than that, I think Buick motors are great.

Re: buick engine?
if the buicks are mounted the same way as pontiacs the motor mounts will be different...,great idea though i've always wanted to put one of the turbo buick v6s out of the grand nationals in one of these trucks or the next generation...one of these days i guess
also summit or jegs sell an adapter plate for converting a B.O.P. transmission to a chevrolet for like 50 bucks i think Last edited by 72_ventura; 11-12-2007 at 04:53 AM. |

Re: buick engine?
I heard once that the GMC Bellhousing will bolt up to a buick motor. Don't know how true it is tho.

Re: buick engine?
You Should Be Able To Use The Same Mounts On The Truck That Are On The Buick Engine I Remember My Father About 15 Years Ago Put A Buick Skylark Motor In His 64 And He Used The Mounts That Was On The Motor
