Project: 65 C-10
I have been workin on my 65 C-10 for about a years time now... The frame has been z'd 4 inches and the cab mounts have been lowered an inch. The rear is notched with the factory trailing arms repostitioned. recently I have shaved the firewall and just doing minor work to the cab.. New inner rockers, rockers, and cab corners... I hope to set the cab on the frame within the next few weeks.. maybe over Christmas break Let me know what all of you think about it..
Tranny crossmember Sorry about so many pics just wanted to let everyone know where I am at on this project..... Let me know what you think about everything... |

Re: Project: 65 C-10
Looking good. I like that you added reinforcment to the front Z behind the motor. I have seen to many that just plate the out side and leave it at that. What did you do for the very front? Lets see some more pics. I just picked up a 63 so I am looking for all the pics I can get.

Re: Project: 65 C-10
The very front was cut and I cut a 8 inch piece of strap to hold everything back together...
We flipped the frame over and smoothed the bottom side of the plating also.. |

Re: Project: 65 C-10
That seriously looks like its been very time consuming, but it will be 100% worth it in the end. That '65 is going to be badass

Re: Project: 65 C-10
Thanks for the comments guys... The frame has sat outside all summer and fall so Ineed to bring it in and clean it up and paint it again.. Inside the framerails and all.. Have to put a rear cab mount on the cab and then I will be setting it on the frame... I dont get too much work done to it.. I am in college and reallly dont have the time to mess with it too much but I try as much as I can.... Thanks for the comments it gets me motivated...

I really hope the firewall helps a lot. It was a lot of work.... Could one of the administrators put this thread in the 60-66 forum? If one could do that I would really appreciate it

Slmd92DIME, what part of WV do you live? I'm near Roanoke. And, I see you're online now (2:45 AM) what's up with that? I've got an excuse, I'm at work.
