Re: Looking for a good class four receiver

What part of Western Ky r you in? I'm in Lewisburg just north of Russellville, I have a hitch with the receiver with it I think it is class 5 will have to check it tommorrow and let you know will let it go for $50. It was for a Ford f150 but I fixed it to fit my 86 Silverado SWB will let you know.

Re: Looking for a good class four receiver

I am in Mayfield. Yes, let me know. If it worked on your '86swb it should work on mine I would think. I do not have a spare tire back there. Thanks

Re: Looking for a good class four receiver

Sorry I didn't get a chance to check the hitch I had something come up and it will be next weekend before I can get to it. A friend of mine has it at his shop for sale for me. As soon as I get home next Friday I will get it. If you don't find another hitch before then and we could workout something. Maybe we could meet halfway somewhere. Will let you know something as soon as I can. Thanks Curly

Re: Looking for a good class four receiver

I've got one off of my 82, practically new, bought it in May after getting the truck but since I have lowered it quite a bit, not planning on towing. It is a Putnam, I bought it for 108.00 new...will sell for $50 plus shipping. I have all the mounting bolts and shims and a receiver.

Re: Looking for a good class four receiver

What is different on the SWB as opposed to a LWB? I have a hitch for my 82 LWB, but that won't work? Never payed much attention to how the frame looks between the two.

Looks like Putnam does not make these for my '86 Short Bed.
