Fuel pump question

Hey All,
Does anyone know if there is any difference between a fuel pump for a 230ci and a 250ci? If you look at some auto parts store's web site they give different part numbers, but I would just like to know if they are interchangeable. Mine went out yesterday, and I have one I bought for a 63’ 230ci some time back, but never used. My truck has a 75’ 250ci in it.
Thanks for the help,
Tim

Re: Fuel pump question

Tim, there may be some minor differences between years like the angle of the fittings and such, but it should bolt up to the engine all the same.

Re: Fuel pump question

Well, I put the one I had and got it running. It looked just like the one I took off. Does someone make one that is better quality than the cheap ones you get from the discount house part stores?
I'm sure that's where the one I had came from, and the one I took off really didn't look very old at all.
Thanks,
Tim

Re: Fuel pump question

The only difference between a 230 and 250 is stroke. I would go with any new, good name brand pump.

Airtex makes good mechanical pumps. You can find them boxed as Master brand as well.
