Re: 50th anniversary find
My '68 has the reflectors without side marker lights, but it is a base model, I would have thought a 50th would have the upgrade lights. Your RV Jr Mirrors are missing, should be able to come up with some if you like them, but they really howl at highway speeds. You are probably better off with the ones you have. Great Deal! Enjoy.

The only way the optional lights would come without asking for them is if you got the daul rear wheel conversion. With the DRW DOT regulations required the clearance/marker lights on the roof, plus the side marker lights at all 4 corners. These were required options, meaning the price was not included in the price of the DRW option. |

Re: 50th anniversary find
Thanks for all the interest and clearing up the lights issue. I have not been around many pre '70 trucks, so I did not know.
All of us need to be paying attention when we are out riding around because you never know what you may find parked. I just by accident took a different street in town one day and saw it sitting there. Trying to find trucks here where I live is hard to do. It is a large farming region and most of these trucks have been used and abused. Also with scrap iron is high as it is now, more and more are being crushed everyday. |
