22's and firewall?
just a quick question that im asking for my buddy's 86. he wants to run a 265/35/22 but isn't sure if he wants to or has to notch the firewall. he is stock with just bags, no z or anything. basically just wondering if you have to tub the firewall on a 29.3" tall tire with just bags? thanks in advance if any one knows

Re: 22's and firewall?
No you won't have to tube it, but u will have to do something with the blower motor & ac box.

Re: 22's and firewall?
i think the blower motor and ac are already out. so as long as his back spacing is correct he should just be able to bolt and roll right?

Yes, as long as they will tuck in the fenders!

Re: 22's and firewall?
His stock fenders are out and are replaced with some squared off trailer fenders. Guess I will have to figure out how much tire those can take. If they don't fit under those fenders I bet hed have no problem ripping them out for 22s
