Re: ATTENTION Cali Folks...It BBQ TIME !!!!
you know, I was thinking about the presidio thing. There at the parade grounds, where the cannons are. Big huge P-lot, big grassy area, great view of the bay. Don't need reservations I don't think.
But again, its in SF. Not sure how far that is away for every one. As for timing. Whats wrong with april. Do we have to wait all that time to get inspiration from others. The sooner we do this, the sooner some of us will get into gear to get wrenching after the ideas have been passed around. No matter where we have it, (the famous we, as if i had anything to do with its inception) I would hope its sooner than later, or rather sooner and later.

Re: ATTENTION Cali Folks...It BBQ TIME !!!!
We could always have a couple different group meets. People is certain areas could meet up and then maybe at a later time we could have a big meet where as many people can get to gether as possible. just a thought.

Re: ATTENTION Cali Folks...It BBQ TIME !!!!
Meeting at a burgar joint is how Rust Never Sleeps got started and I have not heard anything about it and I have a feeling it might not happen this year but I will ask Greg about it.. Also. I have finally made up my mind about a color for my truck. That is all I will say..

I have 4.56 gears and a 3 on the tree so I'd say BAKERSFIELD is the best possible option for a meeting spot!

Re: ATTENTION Cali Folks...It BBQ TIME !!!!
Thats cool. I got a soft spot for sportys. I didn`t know Coca Cola was open on the weekends. I wanted to get on with them here in Sacramento when i got laid off in december but they didn`t have any openings for anything I qualified for. I ended up getting on at another bike shop.

Any further info on the bbq? I would like to drive the truck to it and could use a date as a motivator.

Re: ATTENTION Cali Folks...It BBQ TIME !!!!
OK.....When do you guys want to do this ?? I would like to have as many people/trucks as possible...Everyone bring something....Doesn't have to be just us 60-66 guys, you know ?
Should I just set a date and go from there ?? I guess I'm gonna pick the spot..reserve it and set a date. Any suggestions ? I just don't want to be the only family there !

Re: ATTENTION Cali Folks...It BBQ TIME !!!!
I don't know jack about the SJ area so I'll be at the place of your choosing. The last time I was there was before the dirt track closed. That was the only time I went there was to race.

Re: ATTENTION Cali Folks...It BBQ TIME !!!!
if poorboy goes ill see about following. maybe both trucks will be good to go by then. it would be nice to go and do something on my own now that the little guy is a little bigger. maybe even take him along too.
