sand blaster or grinder?
i have been grinding down all the rust and old paint from the face of my truck behind the grill and lights and was wondering if those cheaper sandblasters would make life easier. or how do you guys do it? any suggestions i still have to do all the a arms and most of the motor area to go

grinding as in a grinding disc or a wire wheel ? a grinding disc is gonna make refinishing the metal kinda hard i would think ..leaving grooves and swirl marks all over ..the small sand blasters are ok for small areas ,but require a good compressor to run them

its like a wire grinder, its really not that aggressive at all, thats why it takes me so long.

i use one of those wheels that looks like a sponge alot ...its real hard and doesnt leave marks,it takes paint and rust off quick

haha yeah that what i just got and it works a lot better but its hard becuase i cant get into the tight areas.

my wole frame a arms and header panel was only a lil over 100 dolars to sand blast and prime ,the guy is doing a cab now for 200 with soda...maybe u can find a cheap place to blast it for you

I used a local Soda blaster company to clean up the last and final project for me. I was elated at the results of that job they turned out. What a job clean and neat . Cost around 500 dollars to do the complete project could have been a little more not sure. Saved a tons of hours for the prep work.
