62 vs 64 wiring

So... I was driving down the freeway and smoke started drifting out from under my dash. I pulled over, started pokein' around and found the connector for my headlight switch and the 'plug' of wires were very hot. I also saw the lights on my dash were out. I continued my trip w/o headlights and the smoking did not occur.

It seems the smoke is being caused by something attached to this circuit...

I have a wiring diagram for 64 a member supplied(thanks rodnok1), but am curious if it is interchangeable with my 62?

I did a search and found some good resources, including info on wiring a relay(which I think I will do), but none that answered this question.

Thanks!

-Matt

Re: 62 vs 64 wiring

It might not be exactly the same due to the gauge setup, but the lighting circuit colors should be the same.
