Temp Gauge
Where should the needle sit on the stock (un-numbered) gauges? I just put a new thermostate in last weekend and this morning on the way to work noticed it is reading above the half way mark towards hot. W/ the old thermostate the needle always sat just above the cold tick when warmed up. Possibly the therm was stuck open and my engine was running cold...but not this morning. I installed the new thermostate last weekend and havn't noticed the jump in the temp guage until this morning. The needle never got to the hot mark, but it did bounce around a little when I hit bumps in the road.
THNX.

Re: Temp Gauge
When I purchased my '72, it had a set of expensive Autometer numbered gauges in it. The temp was indicated to be at a consistent 195 degrees. I later removed those gauges and hooked up the factory units. The temp gauge reads 1/3 of the way off the cold mark all of the time.

Re: Temp Gauge
Other than going digital, does someone make numbered gauges that fit in the factory gauge plate?
