Vinyl floor install????'s

I just recieved my ACC vinyl floor covering from Brothers. I laid it out in the sun all day on friday and put it the truck(crewcab). put a heat lamp inthere to keep it pliable. But no matter what I do, I cant get this thing to fit right. Also, there was a piece cut out of it,and the box was destroyed.(probably happened during shipping?...?)
To me it looks like a 'HIGH' hump trans tunnel that they sent me. I cant get the tunnel to lay flat. I have removed most everything from the firewall...ac, gass pedal,etc... and still cant ge this thing to fit. Any advice?
Thanks
-Lance

Re: Vinyl floor install????'s

Just got off the phone with Tim at Brothers. Those are some great people over there. ACC is going to send me another one without charge and will pick up the other one.Awesome customer service! Maybe they sent the wrong one to start with.

Re: Vinyl floor install????'s

Hey Lance,
I was going to go the vinyl floor covering to, until I talked with a few part suppliers I deal with. They all said the same thing about the vinyl, that it was an extreme pain in the @ss to install and get done correctly. So I went with a short cut pile carpet, (have not installed yet) easy to keep clean most stuff (dirt and mud) just rubs out. I hope for your sake that ACC did just send you the wrong one, keep us updated, would love to hear how it goes.

Re: Vinyl floor install????'s

my dad and grandad had a 77 and 78 respectively, and both said the vinyl never laid quite right, even from the factory, but if it's that bad it may be the wrong part.. good luck
