3M Seam Sealer Applicator

Does anyone know if someone rents the applicators for the 3M seam sealers? I can't see spending $149.00 on an applicator for what is likely a single use.

Re: 3M Seam Sealer Applicator

There is another brand that you can use and I'll be darned if I can remember the name - I actually used it for mine - but it fits into a regular caulk gun. The only problem is that at the tip it has a 3 inch mixer, and you have to have a superman grip to squeeze the caulk gun. It is a 2-part sealer as well. I don't remember the 3M caulk gun being that expensive; I thought it was around 70 bucks or something.

Re: 3M Seam Sealer Applicator

Well, maybe there is another gun/applicator. When I look up 3M part#8307, it says the applicator part # is 08117 and that thing rings up at a minimum of $149.00. Do you know of another part number that applies?

Re: 3M Seam Sealer Applicator

Hmmm, found this one on another thread - 08571. Maybe everyone is just pushing the more expensive solution...surprise, surprise.

I found the 08571 for only $36.99, which I can handle.

Thanks everyone!!

David

Re: 3M Seam Sealer Applicator

Ok, one more question. Is one cartridge enough to do the cab, or will I need more?
