New blazer with a ?
well well
I had a guy trade me his k5 87 blazer and cash for my dually.. I took it for a ride and it seems the steering is everwhere heres a picture its lifted. I no im going to sell it but want to fix steering problem 1st. Do they just drive that way the alingment looks good. Im used to lowered cars and ideas? Heres what it came with 1987 chevy blazer 36 m/t new procomp wheels new paint in dash tv 10,000 on new 350 holly aftermarket 670 cfm tbi jet hot coted headers flowmaster 1200wt amp two 8" subs Last edited by BrooKLyn; 05-12-2008 at 07:02 AM. Check for slop in the steering linkage. Have somebody try turning the wheel while you look at each joint for slop. The first place I'd check is the drag link.

And one more thing to look at is the steering box, big tires are hard on the stock box. You will see a nut on top of the box and you can turn it some and it will help some of the slop too.

check tie rod ends, steering drag link then the box and frame. If no slop then add a steering stabilizer (shock thingy on the tie rod)...

a buddys k5 lifted needed a drop pitman arm then it steered fine

One more thing to check is cracks in the frame. look near the steering gear box to see if the frame is stressed cracked.
