radio questions
my sons 68 has factory radio. when on and warm you can barely hear a little static. Radio or speaker problem???? any quick way to tell? any suggestions on a replacement if needed. do not want to cut dash. anyone have one with i-pod plug in. Thanks

Could be the antenna too not getting any frequency. Have you checked your antenna if its plugged in correctly?

Just attach another speaker and test

After checking everything out you will probably discover it is the radio. I have several just like the one with the symptoms of yours. there are lots of people out there who rebuild these radios.

You can get a factory am/fm that has been fixed to allow an ipod to plug into it, but they are going to be at least $500. If anything, stay away from autosound, they are garbage!

Eighter the speaker or antenna. When I intalled my factory radio, the same thing happened, no sound, just static sounds when it was all the way up. I checked the antenna and found out it wasn't hooked up properly. I fixed it and it started working right away. I even had to turn it down some cause it got loud.
