Re: Difference in years..
I got it from someone that only had it for a month. Once he figured out it wasn't a 55 he wanted to dump it. He got it from someone that let it sit since '94. I think it sat outside but under cover of pine trees. The bed was full of pine needles.
There's a thread called "my new toy" that has links to a bunch of pics of the parts that came with it. Looked like someone was stripping it down to restore it and quit back in 94. All the trim pieces and engine accessories etc were in the bed or inside the cab. No broken or cracked glass. It came with a 305 V8 sitting in it (305 V6 was the original motor), outside of that it's completely original down to the AM radio. I'm getting ready to post some more pics of my cleanup and engine work. The main thing that protected the truck is that it must have had horrible oil leaks in the past. Litterally many pounds of oil/grease/dirt packed into allot of the places likely to rust out. |

Re: Difference in years..
Hey Anthony, that's a good looking GMC (from a fellow GMCer!) I guess the old V6 is long gone, eh?

Re: Difference in years..
I have no idea what happened to it, but I have everything else including the powerglide. I want to put a 350 topped off with a TPI injection system in it when I can afford to build one; following that up with a 700R4. Front discs and drop spindles will happen before then. Paint comes way later.
