I know better !
Just one little weld, just one little weld. DUMB ***** me! Just one little weld while wearing shorts and tennis shoes.
Result was a 2 inch piece of .035 mig wire red hot in the top of my shoe. 2nd degree full thickness burn, 2 days off working in the shop. I deserve it! |

Re: I know better !
Man, I know how that feels! I still have a few marks from weld burns. Whatcha going to do when you're overhead welding and a molten blob falls on your arm? Gotta finish the bead, burn be damned!
My other welding problem is I seem to always get a sunburn on my forearms if I'm not wearing a long sleeve shirt.

Re: I know better !
Man...that sucks, but I have to say I have been there many times !!!
It's burning thru the shoe and wont stop, no mater how fast you shake your foot around !! I've set my gottie on fire once too....man that really hurt (not pain wise, but the fact that it took me for days to grow it) Over-head welding has zapped me too.....splatter down the shirt and seems to rest on the top of my belly !! Heal fast man, and get back to work !!!! Later
