Gentleman...I have returned! Lol.
Hello all. Been a ghost for a long time now...let the paid membership drop and all. One gets a lil bummed when he can not access or work on his 8 K5's....so it all kinda went on the back burner until the new house and shop were finished...which turned into waiting until the overhead storage was built on top on my new shops bathroom and office...and the workbench was added...still not 100 percent...but good enough to work in as of late. The first job was new ball joints in the chalet....then i got the 78 2wd to make smoke...and recently the 89 Jimmy i bought 2 years back for 500 bonez has sprung to life and rolled into the shop under its own power....amazing what a new fuel filter can do. Lol.
As the work bench gets drawers and more of the shop is refined to my standards i will be deciding which of the 8 will stay and which will be thinned out of the herd as 8 is way to much...and i have little time to play with them due to work in the oil patch.... I'll get some pics uploaded to photobucket in the next few days and post up... DW

Welcome back Doug. I thought of you the other day when I saw a rotting Chalet in a local junkyard...waaay up here in MN no less. I didn't take a pic, it was sad indeed.

Re: Gentleman...I have returned! Lol.
Actually thinkin about sellin the old girl off these days. Course she's always ready in a pinch to pull daily driver duty to the rig but since i sunk 12K or so into the 79...i kinda have the thoughts of finishing the custom wiring and trans tunnel in the 79 and adding a 4wd pop top for the adventure rig....keeping the 78 2wd and adding a 80 body that is much more rust free that has factory a/c.....and building up the rust free 74 4x4 and selling it off....least for now thats the half gelled plan.

Re: Gentleman...I have returned! Lol.
PM sent about snagging a pic anyway - various guys in our Yahoo Chalet owners' & enthusiasts want to rescue the shells and put them on their Blazers...
