Wheel question for you 1 ton dually experts.
Guys,
I recently aquired a 1970 GMC 1 ton flat bed truck and want to update the wheels on it. I just want to put stock 1 piece dually wheels on it with simulators. My question is, will '73-'87 wheels bolt up with no modifications? How about '88-'99 wheels? I will be looking for a set of take-offs, so I need to know for sure what will fit. Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Jon |

Why not go for aftermarket wheels? 19.5 are bolt on!

Any of the newer wheels up to about 2000 will bolt on. The only issue is that your '70 has 1/2" studs and the newer ones had 9/16" up to the late 80's and 14mm from there up. I have been running the newer wheels on my '69 C30 ramp truck for years now and I am now running them on my '67 C-30 dually with no issues with the 1/2" studs. I am using taper seat lug nuts.

I`ve done the same thing as 67_C30 on a working truck with no problems.

I like all your trucks guys, but I just think your rims are too small, and remember you can make monthly payments. 67_C30, I think you should get some 19.5" Ricksons on your fendered dually.
