What brand tires ?
What brand tires are you guys running? I just bought new Torque-thrust II's rims 15x7 & 15x8 from and I started tire shopping for 225/70/15 for front and 275/60/15 rear.
I've ran BFgoodrich for years but was wondering what else is out there. So let me know what brand you guys like and why or what to stay a way from and why. Pics would be awesome to !!!! Thanks, John

I got regul sport chanllengers'. They are actually made by BFGoodrich, but are much cheaper the the radial T/A, and I like there tread pattern a little bit better too. I love my tires, they provide awesome wet and dry traction.

The Tire Rack try these guys ... great prices and shipping is fairly inexpensive too.
Go to top of page and select "Products" and then "Tires" ... do a search by tire size ... Check out the Dunlop SP9000 series tires ... nice looking tires and fairly affordable. |

Not sure if they are everywhere or just down in this area, but I like Mastercraft. http://www.mastercrafttires.com/ They seem to grip real good. give real good wet and dry handling as well as they wear real well. OH yeah. they leave nice solid black strips occasionaly

I had goodyear eagle's on my v8 s-10 and it didnt have any traction for sh!t. Then when they exploded I bought the new firestone firehawk ss20's and now I have to try to break them loose and the truck launches like a rocket. their is a night and day difference between the two. I have never seen a tire with so much grip.

radial t/a's are not the best in the rain but dry traction is decent and they are fairly cheap.

Yokohama Avid S/Ts...they beat the tar out of Radial T/As, dry and ESPECIALLY in the wet, not to mention TireRack.com has them much cheaper!

I'm using Pirelli Scorpions on my truck right now. 235/75/15 on front, 255/75/15 on back. Awesome tires in the snow
I currently don't have a spare, as one of the above rear tires got punctured pretty bad (beyond repair) and so the spare 255 is currently mounted. Remember to get a fifth tire when buying, for the spare!

Joe: I'll second Scorpions rocking in the snow. Of course, my only driving-in-the-snow experience, aside from sliding all over the place in a 1997 Mercedes E320 with Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's, is in my grandpa's Volvo V70XC, shod in Scorpiomns. Ran right up some steeeeep icy slopes.
