Cool

bigd65,

The web site below gives details on converting '73 to '80 trucks to the '89 - '91 front end. A parts list is also listed for the '81 - to '87 trucks. http://www.coloradok5.com/grilleswap.shtml

Visit my web site for details on my truck's conversion to the quad side by side headlights style. If you have a 700R4 tranny, I would recommend installing a transmission oil cooler during the swap. I bought most of the parts from aftermarket suppliers.
Only things I bought from the dealer are:
hex screws, grill bow tie, (the little plastic squares that the screws screw into, headlight adjustments screw asseblies and adjustments springs. The springs are hard to find in parts stores. The headlights screws can be found at major part stores.

Good Luck,

hey joe,
i did read the whole article it doesnt say anything about wiring it up. on the page that shows the wiring diagram it shows the green wire but only states not used and also has a loop around it and the tan wires and is marked "quad" what does this mean. if you hook them all together the it will not switch back to low beams. there has got to be a way to wire this to work. the original headlights were like that and all four stayed on on high's why wont this work with this grill sett up. if you are any good at figuring out wiring and you figure it out please let me know. thanx
