Re: slammed crewcabs
I know both of those trucks. They both belong(ed) to buddies of mine.
The '80 is being re-built right now. The olive drab '86 behind it was sold by my buddy a while back. Check out this thread. http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...d.php?t=298820 Here's a thread on the '80 by my buddy Justin...if anyone's interested. http://www.duallyscene.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3294 |

Re: slammed crewcabs
The new Dodge pulling the old GM is too cool. HA! The dodge looks every bit as custom as the GM, and yet thats the tow pig. Not the 20 plus year-old GM. Bad to the bone!

Re: slammed crewcabs
Yeah, the first three are of Chase's dually. The pic with the blue on top is a photshop someone did. It was never in that config.

Re: slammed crewcabs
It really depends on what wheels your running. There's a ton different variables.
You can lay a square on 22's without having to raise or widen the fenders, if you you run a special offset Alcoa (the "TowNasty") on the insides. IIRC, you can also get away without widening the fenders if you're running 16's on the inside and 22's on the outside...but that looks cheesy to me. ...However... If you're body dropped, even after going through all that above, you're going to need to raise the fenders. Also, I'm not 100% on this, but I think if you're b.d.'ed, you *might* need to widen the fenders as they get narrower at the top. I don't remember for sure. If you run 4 standard offset 22's in the rear, they're too wide and you're going to need to widen the fenders regardless if your b.d.'ed or not. 24's are a whole 'nother story. There's no gettin around it: you're in for some 'glass work. ![]() |

Re: slammed crewcabs
Are the dulley guys running duel front hubs or single style front hubs.
I seems that to have that much tuck in the front that the duel style front hub would be an issue...maybe. I've seen couple of four doors for sale and would love to build a hauler for my stuff, and 19's or 22 would seem like a good fit. Any one have some pointers on what I should look for in a four door. You can keep the o.e. front hubs, but you wont be able to turn when your layed out. The SRW hubs give you enough clearance to turn while layed. |
