Replacement Glass

How dark is the tint in the replacement glass? And do all vendors get glass from same supplier or is one any better than the others? ( H&H,LMC,Brothers,Classic Parts )

Re: Replacement Glass

I got most of my tinted (grey/smoke) glass from LMC. The tint is not very dark in comparison to a limo tint but if you want darker you can always add film to it.
I got my first door glass pieces from Jim Carters but was not impressed (chipped edges). I had to use them for the corner glass on the 54 because everyone else was either four times the cost or out of stock.
I do not think they all use the same supplier. With the exception of the "tempered" designation being backassward on the right door glass from LMC I am pleased with their product and you cannot beat the care they ship the glass with. Heck of a good packing job. I will probably go to them first for the next project.
