292 inline 6 cyl F/S Alabama
I finally got the 292 out of my '67 C-30 that I'm doing the diesel swap on. The engine ran, but is tired. It has some ring blowby, and has a skip, but I haven't driven it alot, and I know it doesn't have any serious damage. I drove it about 2 miles to the shop where we pulled the engine out. I am selling it as buildable engine that needs freshening up. I'll take $150 for it including all brackets, carb, distributor, motor mounts, flywheel, and Z bar bracket. If it doesn't sell, I will sell parts separately. Here is a few pics of it and video clip of it running.

Re: 292 inline 6 cyl F/S Alabama
I might be interested. How long will you wait before you start stripping parts?
And, where in Alabama are you?

Re: 292 inline 6 cyl F/S Alabama
Maybe, but if were Bob, I'd be looking for a 250 for his daughter's truck. The 292's are awesome for what they are, but not the best engine on gas.

Re: 292 inline 6 cyl F/S Alabama
I'm just trying to decide what I want to use in my truck. I like the idea of using a six banger because it is different than all the 350's running around and I can't afford a big block. I've heard good things about the 292 but I don't know much about it. I'm trying to do some research on it now. Don't mean to leave you hanging. Ooh...I just mapquested it and you're a little farther than was hoping. 5hrs.

Re: 292 inline 6 cyl F/S Alabama
