New Project. Advice Needed

Hey, we have a new project, a '55 2nd series. It has a decent running 283 and truck 4 speed. Everything underneath is stock. Want to lower it, add disc brakes, and an auto tranny. Nothing outrageous but a good cruiser. This is on a very, very tight budget. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Steven

What are some good ways to lower and rebuild the suspension on a budget?

Nice looking truck.
The easiest way to lower it on a budget would be to replace the springs with new ones. you can check out

or

for kits to do it.
