hell, all of south la. has been under atleast 3-6 feet of water since last night. this is the same thing as RITA. the whole corner of the state had to get out due to storm surge. we have tornados all over the place right now.

i'm 6 miles right of lafayette

hey 66chevy pro street. i have family in lafayette. the news is saying we are going to 20-25 ft surge.im at my parents house 100 yards from the bay bank.we are 22ft above sea level.mabe going closer to town.anahuac.

Sitting at the Fire Station at I-10 And T.C. Jester. Still good here. Winds starting to pick up. Everyone hang in there. In 24 hrs it will hopefully be all over. Then the real cleanup begins!

Yea , powers trying to "brown out" , I think it's due to them dropping out cummunities as they flood . Still good here . No rain . Im @ like 22 feet . Anahuac im by the football stadium .

hotrod80 good luck with power. whats bad is i had to go get my brothers 64 chevy2 and 34 chevy coupe 2 weeks ago in lake charles. becuse of gustav.he is out of the country. now they are in my shop.hope the surge is not to bad.

as of current there was a 10ft surge at the la./tex border, the high tide will come at 3:30am, that will be the worse.

around lafayette we have alot of spotty tornados that move through quick at about 60mph, other than that, just rain bans , we know how the ones going through this feel, hang in there, but i can't get over all the people that stayed on galv. island.

i also don't think houston took this thing seriously enough. i hope that dos'nt turn into another disaster

Just a thought, but I am thinking about holding the fist Texas board meat in the houston/galveston area, see if we can find a board member there who needs some help cleaning up, and all of us come down and lend a hand, have a bbq and then do the official business.

sorry, not much, but they must be flooded and being beatup pretty good right now. for sure out of power. the weather channel is reporting 56mph sustained winds as of now. fixin to get worse. were are you at?

66chevyprostreet thanks. i should be okay on power we have a generator that runs the whole house. it runs on natural gas and comes on as soon as the power goes off. just trying to stay awake until dad takes over the watch.later anahuac.
