Bumper question
Not only the no start problem but I bought a new sport chrome bumper like the factory silverado one from LMC and got it put on. The only problem is the big gap between the bumper and the back of the truck. Gap is big and looks bad. Is there a panel that goes in here?

Re: Bumper question
I just ordered this same bumper and would like to see this picture as well. I wonder why LMC wouldn't have it on their catalog or on line.

Re: Bumper question
Just found out that they dont have anything. The thing that we need is the bracket covers and Brother's said that they no longer have them. Looks like we are in a bind.

Re: Bumper question
Go to www.classicparts.com and order (2 each part) number 65-577. Originally there was a left and right bracket. In believe they have to be drilled to install. The last ones I got from GM,... only the left side was still available. I ordered 2 lefts and re-drilled one for the right side. Good luck.

Re: Bumper question
may not be for all but i think the only way the sport bumpers look good is do away with the fillers and pull the bumper in close. you can look at my crew cab build and see mine with out fillers. just my $0.02

Re: Bumper question
Those with LD leafs can get by with elongating the holes and sliding the brackets back to tuck the bumper, everyone else with HD leafs has to do the above AND trim the back of the brackets in order to slide them back.

Re: Bumper question
I ended up re drilling the bracket holes to move the bumper closer. One thing i may point out is that if you are running the stock moldings, they may get dented. My truck is shaved and only has about an 1/8 inch of clearance with the tailgate down.

Re: Bumper question
I've been wondering about this too, all I've found is the filler panels that seem to provide coverage for the mounting brackets and do not cover the gap all the way across, so I was thinking of making a full panel out of either ABS or Metal. I did find the part numbers for the panels at LMC:
30-3782 (LH) - $9.95 30-3783 (RH) - $9.95 |

Re: Bumper question
i just moved mine in and welded in place. make sure you let down the gate to make sure it will clear. if you dont want to weld you can re drill and bolt on
