Looking for '65 GMC Body
Bad judgement and worse luck caught up with me and my '65 GMC long bed fleetside last month.
As a friend of mine asked, "What did you kill, Bungalow Bill?" I killed a '91 Toyota 4wd pickup. It's already in the boneyard. The problem is, while my truck is very repairable, the insurance company wants to total it too, and ASAP. "Not so fast", sez I, "I want my truck back". The body shop is on my side and being as good as can be, but they don't normally do classic restorations and they can't readily find the parts. So if I want to keep this old beauty from going to the scrapper, I need to find the parts myself. I'm looking for the following: Radiator Core Support Hood Rt Side marker lens in Hood Grille Rt Head lamp bezel painted center fillers (Between grille and bumper) I'd appreciate your help. A good lead on any of these parts would be great.

I have a very nice 1964 GMC with completely rebuilt front end and very good sheet metal. This is a very solid truck and was a daily drive up until last year when it was parked. $1000 obo. I can drive it to OR but you have to drive it the rest of the way. It is a V-6...very solid.

Hey Mongo,
Thanks - would you please send me a picture of the hood? Can you give me any idea how many hours it might take to put it into shape? Also, STLLOOKN: Thanks for putting up your '64 GMC pard. I'm finding what I need (with a lot of help) so far--- I don't think I'll be needing your truck. Thanks a lot just the same. maybe someone else wants to take you up on it?

No problem. I only make it over to this board about once every six months to see if anyone is looking. It will sit there until someone gains interest or my friend just pushes it out into the "common" and it gets impounded...LOL!
